Kathy was an absolute joy to work with! I don’t know how I ever got along without her. I only wish I’d discovered her for my previous books.

If you are an independent publisher or an author who has written a book, be sure you contract an experienced editor. Kathy is knowledgeable, thorough, and provided invaluable feedback on my seventh book, 5 Minutes A Day Dream-Action Path
(2009).

I highly recommend Kathy Grow. She met all my expectations for what an editor should be. I will definitely use her for future works. – Jan Gault, PhD - "Dr. Jan," Social Psychologist, Life Coach, Author http://www.drjan.net

In the afterglow of a frenetic period spent writing my novel, I contacted Kathy Grow asking for her help in polishing my manuscript. I had interviewed several editors and found Kathy’s response and blurbs the most promising. Besides, she was willing to work with my time constraints and we signed a contract.

I was in for a great surprise the three weeks that Kathy spent polishing my manuscript. She not only went through the draft for copy edits, she was able to look for discrepancies in the content, raised many questions about the clarity of particular passages, and reconciled factual references. And, despite such thoroughness, she was way ahead of schedule in terms of completing the task.

She was cheerful, always optimistic, always responsive. If you are looking for someone to partner with, someone who could enhance your work and polish it to perfection, look no further. I am eager to finish my work-in-progress very soon, just for the joy of bringing my work to Kathy’s attention and benefiting from her skills and expertise. – Thaila Ramanujam, MD, author of award-winning short stories and the new novel, Science of Forgiveness

Kathy Grow came recommended as "the best proofreader I've ever seen." She lives up to that billing.

Kathy's proofing of my manuscript was extremely competent. Her comments and suggestions improved my work in every way. The manuscript is now a book about to go on the market. It's a great relief to know that it's really in good shape and that I won't be haunted by errors that weren't caught in time.

I recommend her heartily and will certainly use her services again. – Sandy Nathan, author of award-winning fiction, including her latest novel, The Angel & the Brown-eyed Boy (2011) www.sandynathan.com

Although I had just finished only my first book, I wondered whether I really needed an editor, but a friend recommended Kathy, and so I bit the bullet and sent off my manuscript without really knowing why.
What came back was a revelation. I think Kathy did far more than the editing I was expecting. She took my ramblings and made them readable. I don't think she re-wrote anything, but she did re-arrange and re-present everything in a much more readable format.
She was fast, efficient, and affordable, as well as being enthusiastic, encouraging, and pro-active.
I have no hesitation in recommending her for any writing project. – Simon King, author of Live Without Pain: A New Theory on What's Wrong With You, and How to Fix It (United Kingdom - 2008)

Kathy Grow is an expert editor I would definitely work with again and have recommended to other authors. As a first-time author, I felt a little bit concerned about what I didn’t know that I didn’t know when it came to the editing process. I need not have been concerned. Kathy walked me through the process step by step and allowed my manuscript to be transformed into a beautiful book.
Kathy was a joy to work with and that made a huge difference to the experience. I genuinely felt that my concerns were taken care of and that we worked in partnership to meet deadlines and have the book ready to publish. Kathy is a pleasure to work with. Every interaction we had, she was honest and realistic. I felt massively respected and understood throughout my whole project.

My book is complicated and has many different components—stories, comics, drawings, text, long metaphors—and she handled them beautifully. It was such a relief knowing that I was in good hands, because I care a lot about excellence and quality, but written details are not my strength. I was really grateful to have someone who appreciated the details as much as me. I completely trusted Kathy to handle my project as if it were her own.

Kathy's editing skills are excellent. But what I most appreciated in working with her is that she treated me and my project with dignity and respect. Simply, she is a really good person who is excellent at what she does. – Morgan Rich, MA, PCC, author of Launch Your Life: 5 Secrets to Knowing What You Want in Your Teens, College Years, and Early Career (2009) www.playhuge.com

I was introduced to DoWrite Editing and Kathy Grow when a highly recommended editor was, for health reasons, unable to review my manuscript. That person referred me to Kathy and mentioned that she was an excellent editor. I soon found out that she was.
Kathy meticulously examined each page and chapter of my historical manuscript and made many recommendations. Several of those recommendations resulted in the rearrangement of the material that, in turn, made the reading flow much smoother. We had continuous back and forth e-mail conversations related to questions she had concerning the endnotes. She also made a number of editorial recommendations that made the Bibliography easier to read.
Her attention to detail is magnificent, and, in the editing world, it seems that she can find several of the proverbial needles in a haystack. I would highly recommend her to any author as an editor. – Waldo Gray, author of
The Boston War (1872–1875): The Untold Story of a Costly Battle for a Kansas County Seat

I sent my manuscript to Kathy thinking I had done a really good job on it. Then she would go through each section, do her magic, and send them back to me. I would look forward to getting these sections back because I could see how much value her skills brought to my work. She took a pretty good piece of work and turned it into the easy-to-read, valuable resource I intended it to be. I am proud of my first book and will always make sure that Kathy is a part of each successive work I produce. – Howard Bono, author of The Money Thing Made Easy (2007) (now available on Amazon)

Kathy was contracted to do a proofread and edit for my book. She was meticulous, accurate, and went way above the call of duty to point out areas that needed work—what a 'formal' editor would have done—at a fraction of the cost. Kathy was also a pleasure to deal with, bringing a unique brand of humor and sensibility to an extremely sensitive subject. I would not hesitate to contact Kathy again for another project. She comes with my highest recommendation and my utmost respect. Kudos and thank you, Kathy, for a job very well done.
– Trudy Lynn, author of Reflections of a Child Bride (2009) (now available on Amazon)
